I graduated with a BSc (First Class with Honours) from the respected College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, where I was trained in two systems: Five Elements Acupuncture which excels most at treating your underlying constitution and Traditional Chinese Medicine or TCM), the more common system practiced in China. It's the TCM system that qualifies practitioners with a BSc rather than BA degree. I've continued training since graduation and regularly include other classical systems such as Master Tung style, channel palpation and tui na in my treatments.
I delivered acupuncture for the NHS funded pain management services in Shropshire and Telford until May 2018. Unfortunately acupuncture, although approved for many conditions, is no longer financially supported.
Membership of the British Acupuncture Council includes medical malpractice and public liability insurance up to £5,000,000.
My business premises have been licenced for acupuncture use by Shropshire Environmental Health.
Initial consultation/diagnosis and treatment: £65 payable in advance please.
Normal treatments: £45 payable either in advance or at your visit/treatment.
Payments: Payment online/phone banking or using the card reader are preferred, but I will accept cash in an unused envelope. I don't accept cheques.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations the day before or the day of your appointment mean I wont have time to arrange a replacement session for someone else. Therefore short notice cancellations during this period will incur a £25 cancellation fee. THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO THOSE PATIENTS WHO SUSPECT THEY HAVE SYMPTOMS OF COVID-19 OR HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH ANYONE EXHIBITING SYMPTOMS, OR WHO HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED BY THE NHS TO SELF-ISOLATE.
Due to my BAcC registration and PSA approval, many health insurance companies contribute towards the costs of treatment so it's worth checking.
